there has been talk about wt imagery and the use of subtle hypnotism during meetings.. we had a co who very forcefully wanted the piano players axed and the canned music used for the singing.. has there been any studies done to find sub-harmonic messages hidden in the music?.

"I Want too"...Used to make me cringe, with the high pitchedness, i used to laugh, and pretend to sing half the time, or change the words to funny ones, only to get a sharp clip round the ear from my mom that i didnt realise was listerning..

In our hall it seemed to be a competition of who could sing the loudest. And make the last word last the longest.

Why did the WT change their stance on taking blood fractions?

if memory servces me, it was about 1978 when the questions from readers stated that blood fractions were a conscience matter.

i remember being slightly shocked, and made the statement to my husband that it seems like taking a fraction however small would be akin to giving a "pinch of incense to the emporor.

" i would never change my stance, or so i stated.

yesterday when i was working someone was watching some particularly un-jw approved movies on the big screen tv's i sell.

i asked them if i could help them as i usually do with customers and he hooked me into a conversation.

about 5 minutes later i heard the work 'jehovah' and freaked inside!

They came to see me, and my b/f told them i wernt in, so they sat in the car and waited for hrs, till i went to the shop and they came running up to the door after me...desperate or what..

Just been knocked up with a DC invite (UK)

the buzzer rang a moment ago and when i answered the intercom (i live in a flat) a voice said "we are two jehovahs witnesses come to invite you to a district convention".

i put the intercom down without saying anything.

they didnt bother to try again, but went on to the next number.. i kept an eye on them from my window (i can see the main door) and it seemed everyone in my building at least had the good sense to ignore them, no-one let them in.. this is the first time we have had jws knocking to my knowledge.

It is entitled "The New Millennium—What Does the Future Hold for You?" During the first half of October, we will offer the Watchtower and Awake! magazines. Then from Monday, October 16, through Friday, November 17, we will engage in an intensive distribution of Kingdom News No. 36. I found this mention of a campaign on the Friday morning of the 1978 convention where handbills inviting the public were the main part of the process. This WT technique started in 1936.

I bet they nearly wet themsleves over that one, how exciting..

I got woke up by the same thing today, and a few weeks ago. My street must be really bad, cus they do my street like every few weeks, i tell them im disfellowshiped and they laugh, and they still come back..grr..
